PREVENTION

The Spinal Cord Injury Association of Illinois works together with the Think First Foundation to present prevention programs to suburban Chicago schools. About 230 injury prevention programs were done last year for nearly 9,000 students. Last year alone our speakers, who are spinal cord injured, spoke to 13,500 students about the dangers involved in drinking and driving, drug use, and other behaviors that can lead to spinal cord injury.
